Ōpōtiki has opened a brand skatepark and pump track designed and built by J-Stone Skateparks. The original (and very popular) skate park is now under refurbishment, set to open in the coming weeks. In addition, a big new quarter pipe is being built, a large surrounding apron, footpaths, seating, toilets and parking areas will also be added this summer.

This small town now has a world-class facility for unpowered wheels of all types and all ages to enjoy.

The skatepark will also be part of Ōpōtiki’s huge Summer Festival of events – come along on Saturday 15 January for competitions, prizes and a chance to test you skills on the new tracks.
