The Spring Fling is a series of standout events through September and October, capturing the essence of springtime in Central Hawke’s Bay! Spring is a stunning time of year in Central Hawke’s Bay and the Spring Fling is a wonderful showcase of the region with gorgeous events at our historic homesteads, stunning coastal walks, boutique markets, and enjoying our fabulous Tukituki Trails.

Home to historic villages and majestic homesteads, boutique shopping and charming wineries, as well as some of New Zealand’s most spectacular countryside, Central Hawke’s Bay is a gem waiting to be discovered. Central Hawke’s Bay is booming with strong population growth and increased property sales. This growth is driven by our great people, heartfelt hospitality, and stunning landscapes which afford wonderful recreation opportunities. Central Hawke’s Bay is home to six stunning, scenic beaches.

With expansive white sand that goes on for miles, stunning marine reserves offering excellent diving and snorkelling and incredible fishing and surfing on offer, there’s something for everyone. Central Hawke’s Bay is a great place for kids with the newly revamped Russell Park playground and the Tukituki Trails which are fantastic for bike riding. The more adventurous might like to head to Backpaddock Lakes, a purpose-built watersports park, while those after a more relaxing afternoon need only travel to Oruawharo, where high tea in the gardens is a delightful diversion. Waipawa’s jewel is the Central Hawke’s Bay Settlers Museum. Children and adults alike will enjoy the museum’s exhibitions on the everyday life of early settlers.

From Waipukurau, a journey inland towards the rugged Ruahine Ranges will find lush pockets of native bush, incredible walks and tramps, and a quaint historic village to top it all off. The central and northern Ruahine range are a hikers and hunters delight. Clear rivers, attractive beech forest and alpine tops make for some fascinating walks. However, the undisputed jewel of the park is most certainly Sunrise Hut. Located in the mid-eastern Ruahine Forest Park, Sunrise Hut sits atop of the Ruahine Ranges and is the perfect place to greet the new day.

Central Hawke’s Bay is a thriving district filled with opportunity, with local employment available and local employers ready and willing to work with job seekers to help obtain their dream job. Our local Jobs in Central Hawke’s Bay team are available to provide support and assist, so don’t hesitate, Central Hawke’s Bay is the place to be. #liveloveplaycentralhawkesbay #togetherwethrive
